Our Mission

We empower students by blending creative expression, academic excellence, and real-world learning to prepare them for lifelong success.
Our Vision

We will inspire a generation of St. Louis leaders who leverage their artistic and intellectual strengths to create multi-generational change.

Innovative School Model
Impact STL Arts Academy is built upon three key pillars that redefine education for the 21st century:
1. Academic Excellence
We will implement a culturally responsive, project-based curriculum that fosters deep critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Key components include:
● Personalized Learning Pathways using data-driven instruction to close learning gaps.
● Targeted Interventions: Daily academic support in literacy and math, focusing on student individual growth goals.
2. Creative Expression
Students will have the opportunity to express themselves artistically in a dynamic and immersive way, where creativity is not just a program but a core part of their learning experience. Through an integrated approach, students will develop their artistic voice while deepening their academic skills:
● Music & Math Integration – Students use musical patterns to enhance algebraic reasoning.
● Visual Art & Science – Students create 3D models to study geometry and physics.
● Media Production & Literacy – Students produce podcasts, short films, and digital art to strengthen communication skills.
● Arts Monetization – Students will sell and showcase their work, fostering entrepreneurship.
3. Real-World Learning & Community Partnerships
Impact STL Arts Academy will be deeply embedded in the local creative economy through:
● Project-Based Learning (PBL): Students solve real-world challenges through arts-infused academic projects.
● Internships & Mentorships: Every student will have a personal mentor by 8th grade.
● Local Artist & Business Partnerships: Partnerships with St. Louis-based creatives, cultural institutions, and entrepreneurs to provide hands-on learning experiences.
01
Higher Test Scores

A study by the National Endowment for the Arts shows that students with high levels of arts participation performed better on standardized tests. For example, students in music programs scored, on average, 22% higher in English and 20% higher in math compared to their peers without similar exposure.
02
Reduction in Dropout Rates

Schools with robust arts programs see a 4% lower dropout rate on average, particularly in low-income areas. In urban schools with a high concentration of economically disadvantaged students, this figure can rise to 5-10%.
03
College Enrollment

Among students from low-income families, those who have high arts involvement are 15% more likely to enroll in a four-year college compared to their peers with minimal arts exposure.
04
05
Enhanced Social and Emotional Skills

Arts programs contribute to improved emotional regulation and resilience. According to a study by the American Psychological Association, students involved in arts education exhibited 30% better emotional regulation, leading to better academic focus and classroom engagement.
Social-Emotional Learning (SEL):

Programs focused on SEL have been shown to yield a 13% improvement in academic performance, as reported in a meta-analysis by Durlak et al. (2011).
